Over the years, a number of tools, languages and libraries have been built to ease both numerical and parallel programming. In this chapter, a number of these languages, communication libraries and numerical libraries are briefly presented.
Many of these are used in some of the implementations of SymPLA, but some of the languages are presented only for reference.
